Peter Meehan

Peter Meehan

MC for the World Police and Fire Games Melbourne broadcaster and journalist, Peter Meehan is a communications specialist. Often referred to as the "master link man" for a Conference, Seminar or Awards Presentation Ceremony, Peter is sought by companies who require more than a compere.

Peter Meehan has been involved in top rating Radio Stations for over 25 years. Prior to his radio career Peter was a champion Bike rider; coming second in the 1967 World Cup final to Italy as part of the 4000 Meters Pursuit team.

Peter Meehan graphically illustrates how sports achievements parallel business achievements - in fact, not only parallel, they enhance and cultivate the very path to business success.

He also believes Passion and Attitude can often win against skill, credentials and education. He cites examples of personalities in business that have overcome the problems.

Peter is an excellent communicator and some of his topics include - Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance - the five P's form only part of a broad picture that will illuminate your imagination and give a different insight to your career path.

Peter has been selected as the Master of Ceremonies for many major events but none bigger than the World Police and Fire Games held in Melbourne in 1995 with the feedback being "Before a crowd of 70,000 people at the MCG and 7,300 athletes from 42 countries around the world, our master of ceremonies Peter Meehan pulled the whole Opening Ceremony together with professional flair and excitement that set the scene for the most spectacular Opening Ceremony in the history of the World Police and Fire Games" (Graham Sinclair, Chairman World Police and Fire Games).
