Tommy Hafey

A football legend, Tommy Hafey has coached 4 AFL teams - Richmond, Collingwood, Geelong and the Sydney Swans. He is one of only three coaches to have coached over 500 VFL/AFL games.

Tommy's remarkable success as a coach is renowned throughout the League. Teams coached by Tommy have reached ten Grand Finals which resulted in four premierships and a tied Grand Final. In his first year as Collingwood coach the team rose from wooden spooners to tie in the Grand Final.

Three years with the Sydney Swans took the team from second bottom to second top. During the time Tommy coached them, they had a 70-75% win record.

Tommy has never been beaten as coach of the Victorian State Teams and 15 players coached by Hafey have become AFL Coaches. He currently reports in the media with the ABC and 3UZ as well as writing for Inside Football.
